Read the Japanese text below and answer the questions.
先週の日曜日に友だちのレオンさんといっしょに夏祭りへ行きました。わたしは先月日本へ来たから初めての夏祭りでした。レオンさんはおととしから日本に住んでいて、今年で2回目だと言っていました。駅からおおやま公園までの道はお祭りへ行く人でとてもにぎやかでした。子どもも大人もみなさん、見たことがない食べ物を食べていたり、おもしろいおもちゃをもっていました。着物を着ている人もいました。レオンさんは「いつもの生活では洋服を着ている人もお祭りのときは着物を着ることが多いよ」と言っていました。もし来年もお祭りがあったら、わたしも着物を着ていきたいです。
Last Sunday, I went to a summer festival with my friend Leon. Since I just arrived in Japan last month, this was my first summer festival. Leon has been living in Japan since the year before last, so this was his second time.
The road from the station to Ōyama Park was very lively with people going to the festival. Both children and adults were enjoying food I had never seen before and playing with interesting toys. Some people were also wearing kimonos.
Leon said, “Even people who usually wear Western clothes often wear kimonos during festivals.” If there is a festival again next year, I want to wear a kimono too!
